About

Andrew's first memory of making videos was at the age of seven. Andrew would use his Lego figures as actors in making short videos. Through the next five years, Andrew would continue to make various types of videos including stop motion and comedy sketches with his cousins. But Andrew's passion for film began after watching Tod Phillips' "The Joker" in theater with his father.  At the young age of twelve,  Andrew was shocked by the way the movie was presented. The lighting, music, and cinematography all had a lasting impact on Andrew. After leaving the theater, Andrew thought to himself "I want to do that."  He began by taking a News Broadcasting class in freshman year of high school; the only class available related to video. Part of the class was creating a story for a local student news award program, and Andrew entered his story: "Scratch Gambling off your List".  Andrew won the "Not Just a Game" award in 2022 and used the funds to purchase film making equipment.  From there on,  Andrew took any opportunity  that put him behind a camera.  Since then, Andrew has made up to thirty short films, and continues to film weekly. Andrew's short films can be viewed on his YouTube channel, titled "Andrew Loura".
